In IIS 6, the first step is to create a new application pool.
clip0013
Give a proper name to the new pool.
clip0014
In Application Pool properties, on the Recycling tab, uncheck the Recycle worker processes option.
clip0015
In the Performance tab, uncheck the Shutdown worker processes after being idle... option.

2
Create a Virtual Directory
The next step is to create a Virtual Directory.
You can add a new Virtual Directory to either the "Default Web Site" or to any other existing "Web Site".
clip0017
Assign an alias to the new virtual directory.
clip0018
Select the folder where your ISAPI modules are located.
clip0019
Be sure to grant Execute permission to the Virtual Directory.
clip0020
Now open the properties of the newly created Virtual Directory and change the default pool to the pool you created in the first step.

3
Add ISAPI extension to allowed list
There is one further step for IIS 6. Your ISAPI extension must be added to the list of allowed extensions.
clip0022
Assign a name to your extension, add the extension's module DLL file, and check the Set extension status to Allowed option.

Deploy your uniGUI server
After creating a new virtual directory you are ready to deploy your uniGUI server. Copy your ISAPI module and other required files to the virtual directory. You must be certain that IIS built-in users IUSR_ and IWAM_ have enough rights to access your virtual directory and other folders that may be accessed during the web application execution.
For example, if your ISAPI apps are under folder C:\WebApps, then you must give full access to it.
