Web Application Stability
With a Web application, stability is another major concern. Stability and scalability can be considered two interconnected concepts. A Web app cannot be scalable if it is not stable in the first place. So the first step towards scalability is to make sure the Web application is fully stable. One can say that scalability issues can lead to a non-stable application. Likewise, an unstable application can hardly be scalable. Hence, a Web application designer must keep both scalability and stability in mind in all development stages.
We have covered some of the stability-related design issues under the Web Application Scalability chapter. In this chapter we will try to cover the stability concept in depth.
